Project Description
The project entails the construction of a behind-the-meter 105 MW solar installation and a 160 MWh battery energy storage system to initially power its sister company, Hybar, an adjacent scrap metal recycling steel rebar mill currently under construction.

The combination of 100% recycled raw materials (scrap metal) and access to high-volume renewable power will position Hybar as the steel producer with one of the lowest Scope 1 and 2 emissions in the world.

Green & Clean Power successfully raised about $300-million of debt and equity financing in December 2024 to build and operate the facility.
